About Pretty Hair DMV

Science and beauty are two sides of the same coin and I have been an enthusiast and a thorough admirer of both since my childhood. Given the shift in my career and my desire to enter the beauty industry, I applied for an eyelash extension course in 2008.  After obtaining my certifications from Xtreme Lash and Nova Lash, I was officially bitten by the beauty bug!

As an active “Team Mom” I love spending time with my family and other children, as I’m an integral part of the local Boys and Girls Club. I have a very active daughter with natural hair who cheers, dances, and swims so hair was constantly a struggle.  This struggle is what truly led me to Pretty Hair.

Watching WE TV’s Cuttin It In The Atl really made me take a look at what we were paying for extensions in the Washington Metropolitan area, also known to locals as the DMV. With an active daughter with competition schedules and swim meets, hair extensions became a necessity as a protective style for her, but the cost was staggering and the quality oftentimes didn’t match the price point.  After learning of Pretty Hair, I decided to try the product for my daughter and fell in love.  I finally found high-quality hair extensions at an affordable price.

Although I had very little experience with hair extensions, I could immediately see the difference in the quality of Pretty Hair versus other hair brands I tried in the past.

I decided it was time to offer the same affordable high-quality extensions to all young female athletes and women in my area.  From this concept, Pretty Hair DMV was born. As an owner of Pretty Hair DMV hair boutique, I can marry all of my loves: Love of

Family, Love of Community and Love of Beauty, all under one roof. This store will be my way of allowing women to look and feel beautiful at a price they can afford. The Pretty hair motto is, “Every woman deserves to feel Pretty”… and I am glad to be here to feel the “Void”. No pun intended! ;)
